    This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on TaskPulse subscription services. TaskPulse is operated by Bitcode21 Desenvolvimento de Software LTDA, and we are committed to providing fair and transparent refund practices in accordance with Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (CDC - Law 8.078/1990) and Paddle's billing policies.

    1. Subscription Model

    TaskPulse operates on a subscription-based model with monthly billing. When you subscribe to a paid plan (Pro or Business), you are billed at the beginning of each billing cycle for the upcoming month of service.

    • Pro Plan: $9 USD per month
    • Business Plan: $29 USD per month

    2. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

    In accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms, you have the right to cancel your subscription and request a full refund within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of your initial subscription, without needing to provide a reason.

    How to Exercise This Right:

    • Contact us at support@taskpulse.co within 14 days of your subscription
    • Include your account email and subscription details
    • State that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal

    Upon receiving your request, we will process a full refund within 7 business days. Refunds are issued through Paddle, our payment processor, using the original payment method.

    3. Cancellation Policy

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible in your account settings. When you cancel:

    • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
    • You will retain access to all paid features until the period ends
    • After the billing period ends, your account will revert to the Free tier
    • No partial refunds are provided for unused days within a billing period

    Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund, except as outlined in the Right of Withdrawal section or other applicable circumstances below.

    4. Refund Eligibility

    Beyond the 7-day cooling-off period, refunds may be considered in the following circumstances:

    4.1 Technical Issues

    If you experience persistent technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, and we are unable to resolve these issues within a reasonable timeframe, you may be eligible for a prorated refund.

    4.2 Billing Errors

    If you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charges, wrong amount, charges after cancellation), we will issue a full refund for the erroneous charges.

    4.3 Service Unavailability

    If the Service experiences extended downtime (more than 72 consecutive hours) that is not caused by factors outside our control, you may request a prorated refund for the affected period.

    5. Non-Refundable Cases

    Refunds are generally NOT provided in the following situations:

    • Change of mind after the 14-day cooling-off period
    • Failure to use the Service or underutilization of features
    • Partial month usage (we do not offer prorated refunds for cancellation mid-cycle)
    • Account suspension or termination due to Terms of Service violations
    • Downgrade from a higher tier to a lower tier
    • Events already consumed within your monthly quota
    • Issues caused by third-party services, your infrastructure, or factors outside our control

    6. How to Request a Refund

    To request a refund, please follow these steps:

    2. Provide Details: Include your account email, subscription ID (if available), and a clear explanation of the reason for your refund request
    3. Wait for Review: Our team will review your request within 3 business days and respond with a decision
    4. Refund Processing: If approved, refunds are processed through Paddle within 5-10 business days

    7. Refund Processing

    All payments and refunds are processed through Paddle, our third-party payment processor. Please note:

    • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
    • Processing time is typically 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider
    • Refund amounts may vary due to currency exchange rates if you paid in a currency other than USD
    • Paddle may contact you directly regarding refund processing

    8. Plan Changes

    8.1 Upgrades

    When you upgrade to a higher plan, the new rate takes effect immediately. You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.

    8.2 Downgrades

    When you downgrade to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You will retain access to your current plan's features until then. No refunds are provided for the difference in plan prices.

    9. Free Tier

    The Free tier is provided at no cost and does not involve any payments. Therefore, no refunds apply to Free tier usage. If you are on a Free tier and believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us immediately.

    • Consumer Protection: File a complaint with PROCON or another consumer protection agency in Brazil
    • Small Claims: Seek resolution through the Juizado Especial Cível (Small Claims Court) in Brazil
